A Radical New Way to Treat All Chronic Autoimmune Conditions Using Paleo Principles with Terry Wahls, MD, author of the Wahls Protocol on The Nutrition Heretic Autoimmune disease is on the rise, but conventional doctors have little more than drugs to offer and in some cases those drugs appear to accelerate the rate of disease progression. Dr. Terry Wahls spent about 20 years slowly watching her health decline until finally she got the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis.

Only 3 years after beginning standard therapy she ended up in a wheelchair where she remained for 4 years until she began studying Functional Medicine and using supplements while developing her paleo inspired nutritional protocol, The Wahls Protocol. That’s why I invited Dr. Wahls to be our guest heretic so she can explain how she got out of her wheelchair and went back to work.

Terry L. Wahls, M.D. is a clinical professor of medicine at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City and the Director of the Therapeutic Lifestyle Clinic at the Iowa City Veteran Affairs Health Care System where she treats veterans with autoimmune, neurological, and medical problems using diet and lifestyle interventions.
